(Photo of Hartsville with snow on the ground taken by HartsvilleMom.com)

February is the month of love, includes Lincoln's Birthday, President's Day and is when we would get our one day of snow every year (if at all). It has three holidays but they are really cold holidays. Burr.

Gloves, boots and scarves come out of the closet to keep our body warm. I also like to use the cold weather to accessorize my al fits and make an effort to bundle up if I'm going to the Magnolia Mall in Florence or...

A few churches have a parent's morning out/preschool program in Hartsville. They usually cost between $160 - $260 a month and your toddlers and babies get to learn and play in a loving Christian environment during the weekdays with other kids between 3 to 4 hours in the morning. The kids can be as young as 6 weeks old! Many stay at home parents use this time to run errands or have lunch with friends. These are also great options if you are looking for morning daycare as well! Here is a list y...

Today's Hike at Kalmia Gardens

Posted by HartsvilleMom.com on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, In : Pictures
I am in awe of the beauty of Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville. Located at 1624 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC, our family took a hike there this afternoon and had a very tranquil and happy time just taking in all that Kalmia Gardens has to offer. They really take care of this place with the well maintained plants, bridges, benches and trails. We are blessed to have a place like this here in our backyard!

Here are some pictures I took today below.

Great Dinner Experience at Black Creek Bistro in Hartsville

Posted by Hartsvillemom.com on Monday, January 26, 2015, In : Food
Over the weekend, we decided to dine at Black Creek Bistro. My husband found out about this restaurant through word of mouth from his work. It's pretty hidden and we've never heard about it. Researching online, we found out that they are only open for dinner time. Here is how the patio looks.

Here is the entrance of the restaurant.

The exterior looks very welcoming and it's obvious that this was previously someone's home that was converted into a restaurant. When we arrived inside, we were gr...

Treat in the Streets was great with free photo by Image by Jessi

Posted by HartsvilleMom.com on Friday, October 31, 2014, In : For Kids
Treat in the Streets in Hartsville yesterday was a lot of fun in downtown. My baby son and I arrived a little later around 5:00pm so that gave us an hour to enjoy the festivities. He just woke up from a nap so it was time for play time! All the kids dressed up in costume but and I only saw one parent dressed up. I took note and I am glad I decided last minute to not dress up. I would've been an odd ball.

We've been to the McLeod Farms Store before but have never gone to any of their special activities. For the last few weeks, as we were driving around town, we've been noticing the billboards for "Frozen on the Farm" and it really got us interested. (Scroll down to read more see more pictures.)

When we drove there today, we immediately see Halloween and Fall themed decorations ...

Frap-tacular and Macaroons from Midnight Rooster

Posted by HartsvilleMom.com on Friday, October 3, 2014, In : Coffee Shop
Our family decided to try a month free at the YMCA in Hartsville for October. I was not ready to give my son to the nursery inside of there (free for October as well) just yet because I am a crazy protective mother so I decided to walk across the street with my baby while my husband works out.

We decided to go inside of Midnight Rooster, a family friendly coffee shop that also sells lunch and dinner. I was really impressed with their decor and also what they have to offer. I was very happy to...

Hartsville Mom

HartsvilleMom.com As a veteran's wife whose husband works in the nuclear field, moving every several years seems to be part of our life path. We have lived in Hartsville, among many other cities. Getting acclimated to a new town means starting over each time for us and to help myself and my family, I do a lot of research on things to do and have compiled everything I've experienced in Hartsville here on HartsvilleMom.com. I hope this will help you too.
